ALPTRAUM!

ALPTRAUM! (translated from German as "nightmare") was a comprehensive group exhibition of small to medium sized works on paper in a variety of disciplines (painting, drawing, screen prints, photography, collage) by an international mix of nearly 100 artists.
Co-curated by Marissa Long & Victoria Reis of Transformer, LA based artist Jay Stuckey, Berlin based curator Marcus Sendlinger, and Richard Priestly of London's Cell Project Space, ALPTRAUM! featured new works by artists from Transformer's FlatFile program.
Launching at Transformer, ALPTRAUM! travelled internationally to: Cell Project Space, London – Jan/Feb 2011; Deutscher Kuenstlerbund, Berlin -- March/April, 2011; and to The Company, Los Angeles – May/June 2011; blank projects, Cape Town - August 2011.
In tandem with the launch of ALPTRAUM! at Transformer, the entire collection of Transformer's FlatFile, featuring approximately 200 works by DC based emerging artists as well as artists from throughout the US east coast and Chicago, was be featured at Transformer in our new, permanent flat file for ongoing perusal & sale.
